This presentation reviews advances in chemical precipitation and high recovery membrane systems that offer owners benefits in cost, space, environmental outcomes, and operational risk management. Examples include the treatment of fluoride-laden wastewaters common to the semiconductor industry and the removal of scaling ions that greatly enhances recovery and risk management in reverse osmosis and other downstream treatment systems.
